        Hi Chaps,

My Missus has ‘very kindly’ washed my Protak B&Bs that were hanging in the garage (TBH they were minging!)

Now they let water in through the seams especially around the leg pockets…

Any way of salvaging them or do i need to buy a new pair?

        Any help appreciated

Worth a try before sheliing out for new ones – give them another quick wash with NO detergent to get rid of any residue. Then get some Nikwax and follow the instructions. Will cost you less than a fiver!

Nikwax do a liquid soap (techwash?) at some outrageous cost, just use some soap flakes to the machine instead, make sure you wash out the powder tray to make sure there is no residue. Then use Nikwax TX, be reet after that…..

Protak has taped seams, hope she didn’t wash it to get them clean on a hot wash. if she has the tape will leak and need resealed.

I’ve had a set for over ten years and wash it every three months on a cool wash, heavy soiled, with a small amount of detergent only in the first wash.

Thanks for the replies, will check the seams and give it a go! ~clap
