I had the blue goretex form Daiwa and it was spot on. I sat out in rain storms and didn’t even get damp

For some reason my missus bought me the new black stuff, the cuffs are a good idea on the jacket and it is perhaps only marginally better than the blue stuff for this reason

I have the Fox MSB and its very good when I’m sat on it. The Fox trolley isn’t so good though, especially if you want to cross anything but the smoothest ground or walk a fair way.

Overall I’d say it was great if you fish mostly commercials and places where you have good paths and short walks.

Why not order direct from halkon hunt in your own colours, much cheaper.

I went for the MSB Euro 1 but both the Euro and the MSB have a lot of fans on here for their capacity Vs weight and build quality.

There are a couple of major differences to consider:

                1. the MSB and the Euro 1s have a footplate but the 2s don’t. In the case of the MSB, it’s a fold up, but is sliding on the Euro.

                2. the MSBs have square legs whilst the Euros had 25mm round legs

Other than that I think they’re identical.

                  Think I can help here.lol.

                  I currently own an MSB Euro,it replaced a Rive,which I had a love/hate relationship with,which in turn replaced a Tourny Pro/Modulator Box.
The Fox is comfortable, stable, adaptable & offers loads of storage. The build quality appears very good & it can be carried if required.I went for the Euro because it seemed more stable than the MSB imo & because all my Rive/Preston add-ons fitted perfectly, plus the all important factor,I can get it in/out of the car & house easily!
It is a heavy box however, but as i purchased a space shuttle for the Rive, that is no probs as it fits perfectly.I have taken the base unit off mine & replaced it with winder trays & a spacer unit giving me ample storage as I don’t carry reels in the box.The top drawer is a bit of an issue at first but you do get used to it,I have also switched this drawer with an accs.drawer as it suits me better. The winder trays take more Rive winders than a Rive, but need a bit of draught excluder to ensure they don’t rattle around. The spring loaded knobs are very good as are the stops on the platform.
All in all a good box that incorporates all the features I liked in other boxes I have owned. It could be improved on but so could just about everything!
I have owned the HH Daiwa Goretex for 3 or 4 years now & have not got a bad word to say about it.It does what it ‘say’s on the tin’.
It is NOT winter clothing however , it will only keep you dry.Purchase some windstopper garments & a Bib & Brace liner from HH & you’ll be toasty!
As pointed out,buy a suit direct from HH & save yourself a small fortune.
                  Hope that helps!

                  Kev,this one’s for you~sick
