TF_RhinoLots of small silvers and odd carp at Birkwood, matched up weds and Sunday though. Lots of bites on offer to small baits.

TF_scarfLindholm. I left before the weigh in on Bonsai was completed but the leading weight when I left was 58lb.
I didn’t fish the match but even I had about 20lb of carp and F1s plus a decent barbel, and I’m crap. -

TF_scarfME sticky fingers Casper? I wish. If you’ve noticed, I’ve given up drawing for myself. Not that it’s made any difference
Anyway, you’d better hope that new G20 improves your performance this year because nobody can be as jammy as you were at the drawbag two years in succession. -

TF_JonniTimmsCheers for the info lads.
Go to lindholme as much as i can, and birkwood is two minutes down the road so pretty familiar with both venues.
Going to try birkwood tomorrow for roach and skimmers, Probably try pinkies and maggots short on the pole over groundbait and then throw a maggot feeder out for skimmers. Seemed to work for me there in the past, unless you have any contrasting info?
And then sunday i am heading to lindholme anyway with a mate of mine i think. Although he wants try try grange park again, seen as last time, after driving for an hour down a snowy lane, it was closed due to so much ice.
Great to just have the opportunity to get on the bank again though. I went sea fishing in aus, but its just not the same, you dont get sea sick sat on your box.

TF_RhinoAnthony, yes, unless its mega windy!
Jonni re big lake I had two hrs today on peg one after wrapping early on the snake match and had around fifty skimmers to ten ounce in two hours, all pole and expander. Caster short works for better roach. Would only fish the feeder if conditions are bad. Fish in a sheltered peg if you can, helps a lot with presentation at this exposed venue.

TF_JonniTimmsI think i saw you today then Rhino. I went had a drive down to the canal to have a look after it was reccomended to me at the tackle shop. I wish i hadent now, i almost got stuck and my car is covered in mud. Is peg 1 just as you drive in? I only saw one person with a pole anyway.
Gonna give the main lake a go tomorrow anyway. I have fished it before, with good success, but always for carp on the feeder.
How did you feed the skimmer line? and how far out?
Im guessing you fish birkwood often? might have to peg next to you one day and get a head up on the place. Its a shame i dont go more often with it being so close, but since moving to wakefield i have stuck with what i know and tend to go to lindholme and a few other places that way.
