TF_baitchefParticipantThere are so many rods suitable for pellet wag nowadays that it tends to boil down to venue and size of fish. For shortish chuckt I personally have gone down the cheap and Churchill route, as I really don’t see any point in spending money on something which, let’s face it you won’t use all the time and if you are on a few is going to take a bit of a battering.

TF_squattBest as in the most expensive? What size fish are you landing, how far are you chucking and what’s your budget?~think
Shimano, Fox, Drennan, Daiwa, Garbolino, Maver, Milo, Browning and Shakespeare are all popular. Other makes do a pellet rod aswell.

TF_spotter1707Tri-cast all the way. The new splash waggler is more powerful than the pellet waggler, but they are both brilliant rods. As I’ve said before they are BRITISH MADE so they do what the english style angler needs.

I agree or Titan and Microlight. Titan my favorite. All at 12ft but for 11ft and short chucks I like the Shakespeare Mach 3.

TF_MICK THE BOOKIEIf you want the best try and get a Normark Avenger 2000.I have been lucky enough to use one on a few occasions and they are the Bees B*****.But the Shakespear Mach 3 is a brilliant rod for its price.I have 2 of them and they can handle anything and have a great action.I would recommend them without hesitation.

AnonymousBeen watching this thread with interest.Im also looking for a pellet waggler-ideally under £70.
Looking for something with a through action for smaller carp only (all 2-5lb range)
can you suggest anything that will specifically suit the above criteria?
many thanks

If you’re looking at the budget end look at :

Have been using the 10′ feeder rod for ages and it’s the dogs danglies, just got the waggler rod and just as good.
Have owned the Garbo budget ones and these knock spots off of them, if moneys tight you will not be disapointed.
