We had a trip from here early this month and after we had some Bream we moved to the edge of the reef and 2 Bass were caught on 1/2 a Mackeral fished well down tide of the boat once you have your bait in position put the reel in free spool and let the Bass take line against the rachet.
we did not get any Tope but they should be showing in the near future

            Here we go !!!

35 years ago I got off the charter at quayside, due to sickness, sat on the beach all day in the cold.
Younger brother returned from the trip with 228lb of Bream!!
            Sick again on way home.
            Never been boat fishing since.

Gulp!!! You could try baiting up with a rolled up newspaper soaked in sardine oil instead, You’ll do no worse

Got out on Thursday, went plaice fishing as there are a good number still being caught, 6 of us including the skip( Dickie )caught 30 placie, of which 6 went back as everybody had enough, also 10+ wrass and 2 or 3 small sea bream all returned, we where drifting over the mussel bed with 4-10 beads with Large Rag ( snakes )on a size 1 tipped with squid. hook lengh 2ft.Great Fishing maybe next time I will get to try those gulp baits, if I dont chuck them into to bin in the mean time.
