TF_njdudsburyWhen is the next open planned?
-
11/03/2011 at 12:33 pm #134862
TF_carpmagicParticipantThey only fish the deep half in front of the car park as thats where all the fish have been. I also believe weed is a problem on a lot of pegs in the other half of the lake.

-
11/03/2011 at 5:27 pm #134886
TF_carpmagicParticipantDont think so, but with it being cold the fish havent found their way through yet. Wait till summer, the shallows will be black!

TF_C.A.T.C.H.ParticipantI think it was around 3000 carp but not sure as it was covered in the sports section of the Derbyshire Times a couple of weeks ago ( may even be available via weblink to newspaper )
We tried to book a match as its local and was told no matches til June until the fish settle etc.T.

TF_NW Cut AnglerOther than for commercial reasons is there any reason as to why they have stocked carp. IIRC it is a famed and fabulous bream venue ?

TF_The chimpVery clickie group ov lads that fish the opens only live round the corner me and le bosquet tried to get on they say no way, last i herd dave frith was the man to speek too, the other thing they dont like anyone going thats got something about them its the same lads winning every week.
I know that there is plans to add more pegs once the weed totaly clears up they have also got 2 more lots ov fish to go in so britishwater ways will want to get some money back somehow.
I know that theve closed some ov the pegs due to health and safety whats the world comin to lol lol….. -

Britishwaterways put the carp in to clear the weed problem up, hence the colour ov the water theve used it like a drayton with a view to let the carp grow and sell them on…
So sit back and let me explain
more anglers=more food=fish grow=more money backtheve only lent them the carp…..
