        Does anyone know which of the newer Daiwa
        poles my trusty old Conny 510 is compatible with.
        I will be in the market for a new pole next season.
        Ive got about 12 top 3s and spare 4s & 5s so need
        something off the same mandril.Probably up to £1000
        spend.

          Conny Ultra, original Spectron, Whisker, Excellor for every section, every pole apart from SR range for top 4s.

            Cheers for that nathan.I know the 510 was not
            a top of the range pole.Just need to find the
            right model that suits me.Dont think i fancy
            the spectron,i heard it was a bit suspect to
            a break or two if thats the right pole.
            Think im gonna get myself down to Nathans of Derby to have a waggle.i know he stocks a lot
            of the old models

              The spectron imho isn’t a match on the 510, I found it very whippy. I’ve had a 510 since it came out and it’s taken some stick and landed carp to 18lb so why change…well the new finishes are definitely far better and the poles don’t stick to your hands anything like the 510 does when shipping.

              All your Top 4s will fit any of the Diawas as stated above. Depending on how you stretch your wallet, I would go for either the Tourny x or the Airity, the G20 may be ok at 13m but in comparison to the other two it does lose it at 14 and 16m. There are some deals about to be had and you may find some doing 0% over two years like fosters.

                i love my 510 but its had some hammer over the years and im ready for a change .As you say shipping isnt the best especially now its
                gettin old.I fish mainly rivers & canals only the odd occasion for vermin.Ive got that many spare tops i just need something compatible.I`ll just have to see whats available from daiwa when im ready to buy, and see what my budget can afford.

                    Fishing rivers and canals have a look at the spectron M2 same mandrill as the 510.

                    Will fish carp but not as strong as 510 as only rated to 12 elastic.
