        Just bought a mint second hand one on a bit of a whim and seems a bit soft to me for carping obviously it isnt a rod for chucking a large feeder 80yds . Just wondered what people used theres for and what are its capabilities with regards to feeder/method size and fish size.

          i use mine for normal light feeder stuff,skimmers,roach etc.
          be interested to see how they cope with carp feeder fishing.

            seen will raison use one at hayfield in last fisho there chuckin too fizzer, n he wasnt messing around with the ones he hooked!

              thats really what i wanted to hear. I bought a 10′ super g a few years ago and worried about that but coped with everything that has been thrown at it

                I used mine on larford speci last summer. only feeder rod i reach for now for any fish on any pool up to 40 yards, loads of backbone I’m gonna order another one so I can have one set for staight lead/feeder and one for method,

                  I fished next to Kieron in a match on Barston last summer and he was using a 10-11 and chucking a long way with a method.

                      Yep! I use it for short range method and bomb fishing for carp from 1 to 20lb at 10ft, love it! Crap at 11 though in my opinion!

                      P.S. I have been known to pull a bit!!!!!!!!!!!~clap

                        cheers for all the responses used it for the first time today and couldnt fault it, even stuck a method down the margin when i stuffed my pole rig.
                        Looking at getting at 12/13 now are they as good, longer chucks bigger feeders etc.

                          I used to have one and found I struggled to get the fishes heads up before netting at woodlands thirsk.never used at 11ft. I now use a beastmaster 9/11 ax and its softer in tip but more beef in handle and seems loads better but not really tested yet.

                            i bought a brand new one im yet to be as impressed as i was with my preston 10ft carp i sold to buy it~sick used it at both lengths dont agree with nath i think its better at 11ft but what do i know naths forgot more than ill ever know about this game~think

                              Ive got 2 in my armoury.

                              Spot on for carp feeder fishing.

                              Had fish to 19lb on it no problem.

                              Most fish in the 6-10lb bracket.

                              Perfect rod IMO
