        Can anyone tell me the best way to store line on a top kit when the top kit is quite a bit shorter than the depth your fishing, 2 ft at times. I’ve storing the extra line on winders and then elasticating the winder to the number 3 section but there must be a better way than this.

          What you are doing is the cheapest option, I bought several extra number 4’s to go with my pole which works but adds up!

            If you use a rig roost attach a plumet to the hook.it hans down just off the floor

              Store the extra line on a winder like you’re doing then pop the winder into the female end of the no3 section.

                Just put a loop of elastic on the Number 3 put the hook in the bottom as usual and hold with thumb and then pull a loop of the spare line through the laccy. You will have a loop but it doesn’t normally cause me any problems. Cheap, costs nothing if you use old elastic, and effective.
