I regularly fish the Sibsey Trader drain north of Boston, Lincs but due to heavy weed problems its only worth fishing during the winter months. For years people have campaigned for the EA to cut the weed early in the season so as to make it fishable during the summer. I have just found out that they have finally agreed to cut the weed….problem is they have announced they will do it week commencing 28 February. So that will be the last and usually the best 2 weeks of the season ruined. Why cant they wait until after 14 March? What difference is 2 weeks going to make. Unbelievable.
I only pay my licence fee because its cheaper than a fine. Waste of space they are.
