Elinor Weekly Fishing Report Saturday 1st – Friday 8th April 2023
187 Anglers caught 616 fish of which 464 fish were returned.
The North Easterly wind bought a cooler start to the weekend here at Elinor, but this didn’t slow the buzzer feeding down, fish were being caught from all areas of the lake, with small size 12 -14 buzzers and nymphs working well. The fish have started to move out into the deeper water with some good catches from Brookside Bay right through to the West Arm and Lagoon. Season Ticket holders Andy Burgess and Ivor fisher had a bonanza couple of days on a boat, catching 62 fish between them on olive buzzers/washing line. The lake is really starting to come into form, the buzzer hatches coupled with the warmer air temps suggest the evening rises should start to get going anytime soon.
