Two weeks March 19th – April 1st

Recent heavy rain has coloured the water so fishing is bound to be difficult over the next few days.

March 19 – 25

225 anglers caught 1006 fish of which 779 were returned

6lb 2oz Graham Bodsworth, Toddington, buzzer
6lb 1oz Roger Bosence, Corby, hares ear
6lb 0oz Chris Selby, Yaxley, red diawl bach

March 24th
Invicta Fly Fishers held their spring bank trip.
16 anglers caught 85 fish with no blanks.
1. John Brown 13 fish
2. Chris McLeod 12 fish
3. Peter Brewer 8 fish

March 26 – April 1

63 anglers caught 302 fish of which 201 were returned

Rainbow 7lb 0oz Adrian Wilkins, Spaldwick, black buzzer
Brown 5lb 2oz Alan Calver, Oundle, Black Harry Potter

Water is coloured now so black or black/green patterns fished slowly generally work best.
Hopefully the clarity will soon improve for some great buzzer fishing.
