88 anglers caught 214 fish of which 172 were returned.

Best Fish
5lb 2oz Derek Benamore, Finedon, daddy
4lb 15oz Ken Nicholls, Farcet, black/green lure, boat
4lb 10oz Mr Sharples, Weldon, cats whisker, boat

Best Areas
Bank – east arm
Boat – pylon point, east arm, down middle

Best Patterns
Dry or wet daddy, black hopper, red diawl, black or olive buzzer, damsel, sunburst or tequila blob.

Another steady week with anglers having to work hard for their fish and a slightly improved rod average of 2.4
On less windy days there are good numbers of fish moving to damsel nymphs and adults.
Top of the wind still best in the clearer water.
Cooler weather plus the longer nights will drop the temperature of the surface layer to encourage more prolonged feeding.
We are now over half way through the summer doldrums!
