        July 10th – 16th

128 anglers caught 242 fish of which 142 were returned.

6lb 1oz Arthur Matcham, Kettering, black buzzer, boat

5lb 2oz Bob Walmsley, Desborough, drawl bach, boat
5lb 0oz Roly Stanford, Finedon, boat
4lb 12oz Roy Leaning, Broughton, black buzzer, boat

        Best Area
Bank – east arm, gravel bar, dam (in a north wind)
Boat – east arm, pylon point, dam end

        Best Patterns
Damsel, bloodworm, black buzzer, red cruncher/diawl bach, daddy, olive cdc, white/green lure.

A difficult week with the water warming up and the fish feeding sporadically.
On most days there has been some surface activity to the massive damsel hatch although boat anglers have had more success fishing deep and slow with some larger fish being caught.
Generally it has been best to fish at the top of the wind where the water clarity is good with any algae being blown to the windward bank.
Fishing will probably continue to be challenging until we get a cooler spell.
