Best Patterns
Black or black/green lures, white/green lures, black diawl, cruncher, black buzzer, olive buzzer, tequila or candy fab/blob.
The frosty mornings have meant fishing has generally been better in the afternoon, coupled with some cloud cover and decent hatches of black or olive buzzers, fishing from the bank has improved and some decent bags have been caught. The best method from the bank has been a fab on the point with buzzers or diawl bach on the dropper.
Boat anglers are catching on straight lined buzzers, washing line and intermediate line with black/green or white/green lures/damsel and a few fish are being caught on dries. The strong North westerly winds mid-week stopped the boat fishing but those who managed to get tucked away on the bank caught a few. The water temperature is a cool 9C, however the evening rises should start before the end of the month.
Next stocking Thursday 14 April.
Please be aware the sheep are back in the field all gates must be closed and dogs to be kept on leads – thank you for your co-operation.
