Elinor Weekly Fishing Report Saturday 18th – Friday 24th March 2023
89 Anglers caught 231 fish of which 89 fish were returned.
Great conditions on Saturday greeted the Invicta Fly Fishers, who were on their annual trip to Elinor. Mark Searl got off to a cracking start catching 9 before lunch, on buzzers and dial bachs in Goodfellow Bay. Matt Collerson also had 9 at half time, but unfortunately due to his excitement of catching a further 14 and a time change due to the Rugby, missed the final weigh in!
The strong SW winds from Sunday made fishing almost impossible for the rest of the week, however season ticket holders Mike Bownes caught 14 on black buzzers on Monday and Brain Coe managed 7 between the gusts on Wednesday – both from the bank of Brookside Bay. The fish are feeding on buzzers and are still not far from the bank on the overcast days.
Please be aware that on Sunday April 9 Elinor will be hosting a national qualifier for the England Bank team so some areas of the bank will be reserved for the match.
