121 Anglers caught 475 fish of which 359 fish were returned.
Elinor has seen an abundance of buzzer hatches this week, throughout the day the fish have been feeding on black and olive buzzers. The water clarity is excellent, although this, coupled with the ever changing wind direction has meant some anglers found the conditions tough. Fishing a washing line with small nymphs 12/14s, dries and CDC’s worked well for Darren Oram, who had a fantastic day on Sunday catching 19, including a rainbow weighing in at 10lb from the bank of the Gravel Bar. The fish have been feeding at all depths but have mainly been caught at 1- 3ft, with overcast days being more favourable. Andy Burgess and Ivor Fisher had 14 fish to their boat on on Wednesday out over the deeper water in between the boat dock and Brookside Bay.
Please note that on Sunday April 9 Elinor will be hosting a national qualifier for the England bank team – so some areas of the bank will be reserved for the match.
