Fish Losses

After walking down Twibell Streel canal in Barnsley yesterday, and hearing stories from Ackton pond in Pontefract, the consequences of the big freeze are becoming clear, with plenty of fish lost.

How are the venues in your surrounding area affected?

The Twibell street scene was particular bad, there was litter everywhere, and huge chunks of thick ice on the surface, with a good 50+ dead fish frozen into the surface and beneath it. There were then literally hundreds of fish, big and small, trying to swim up to the surface through the ice.
