TF_mickeymbram,
I individually insure my pole as a seprate listed item. Everything else is under the house contents insurance.
If i was you i would insure expensive individual items seperatly and take a picture of them.

TF_GavinSaw recently on a carp fishing DVD that Korda now do tackle insurance (I think it’s actually Satander if I remeber from the small print)
From what it said on the DVD the Korda Cover looks pretty good so may be worth looking into? Sure they do cover upto £7000, and it’s insured in sheds and cars too (not overnight in cars I think though, and maybe to a lesser amount) on the top rate cover. I can’t be sure all I’ve said is correct but I think there is a link via their website.

TF_carpmagicParticipantId check out Korda Kover, i have already asked for a quote and the price seems very competitive for what it offers.

chosserParticipantbram be careful most are 2 grand for one item but nearly all sporting items are not insured whilst in use, not much use for a pole cos it tends to break whilst in use . got mine insured for 5 grand but if i want it to be covered in use they wanted something silly as an extra .
you om

TF_fourcanalsI have gone to great lenghts to check out my policy details and direct line is as follows, I am covered up to 5k loss from garage on the bank or placed down and pinched by opportunist theft. However if the tackle is lifted from the van anywhere the cover is 1k I asked a question if I pull up for a breakfast take all my gear out of the van leave it at the side of the road and it gets lifted i get5k but if its locked in a modern alarmed van and gets lifted its 1k Yes you read it correct I said to the insurance clerk dont be surprised to see my gear at 7am at the side of my van to keep my full cover She agreed that the rule was silly but the companies are petrified of vehicle theft Rule here dont get it nicked or report it was in the van

TF_piperpilotI recently had a chat with Danny and Ali about the Korda cover and will be insuring my kit with them. Personally I think the cover offered is going to be spot on,
