pigslayerCould someone please explain how this works.does everyone on the reserve list who turns up go into a separate draw,or do you have to be high up on the list.

TF_MARKHLDASEveryone not in the 130 is an eligible reserve. You can even get in if you just turn up on the day and didn’t register providing you are an AT member and they have exhausted all potential reserves.
I turned up as a RES, informed the organiser I was there and No.14 on the Res list. The draw concluded, then they called in the reserves, on my day 6 of us got in, 4 in front of me and one behind (he was No.20).
THhre were some good pegs left as well, the only problem is you get to your peg late and have to rush.

My favorite venues are Stafford Moor, Viaduct, Woodlands Thirsk, Moorlands Farm, Makins and like the sound of Peatling Pava but there are so many pegs where you have no chance! Give me a decent peg and yes, I’d be confident on any of those venues.

TF_Vince8Nathan, are you saying its possible that 53 on the list might not turn up so that if 53 reserves do Pigslayer will get on? In reality fewer will drop out and fewer reserves will turn up but what a farce.

No! I’m saying several will not turn up and out of those there on the day on the waiting list, at least the top 53 will be offered a ticket!

worm drownerVince. Several times in the last 5 years the qualifiers haven’t been full. People don’t show up and then there ain’t enough reserves there on the day. I think last year at willinghurst there was still 12 empty/not drawn pegs. Same at Monks and Viaduct. I also believe Tommy Pickering qualified and he hadn’t even enter that match.
For some reason people put in for all 16 and when they see which ones they get. Can’t be bothered to ring up and say there not coming

Won’t spend money on kit, but willing to lay a ton on a bet? 😉
I covered Viaduct and Stafford Moor last year for papers and both had pegs to spare for reserves. Stafford Moor still had pegs left after all the reserves had drawn.
If you want to fish one, just go along with your kit, the cash and your AT membership card. Good chance on most, I would think.

AnonymousLast year i was 50+ reserve at Tunnel Barn Farm,a popular venue and was the last reserve ticket.Being the last person to get a ticket on the day means you have limited time to prepare and set up.
