TF_proper tidal boynathan try davies angling they have some, but not skid bung just large rubber ones that will protect pole end, when shipping back which will allow you to push through bushes or chain link fencing

Thanks, got the end caps that will do that but prefer a skid bung, think they strengthen the end aswell to stop you putting your elbow through!

TF_paulDI use a Seymo expanding bung in my 9. Can use it in 14.5 & 16 sections. You need to by the good quality one though. The cheap chinese copies look identical but are u/s and stop working after a while. I still think the drennan ones are best but its hard to find them now.

01/02/2011 at 9:24 pm #130625
TF_NathanWatsonGot a Seymo but think it’s crap to be hoest, falls out and doesn’t offer much of the reinforcement.

TF_paulDmine stays in ok but I only use it to keep out stones and to push it through bushes. just screw it up a bit tighter ! not too much though as I cracked a Maver butt using one once.

TF_paulDJust seen some 48mm drennan skid bungs advertised. Put a put a few rubber o rings over and into the slots and it would probably be firm in a 50mm section

TF_bwfcjohnParticipantB.A.S.in Bolton have both Drennan and Fox skid bungs in stock.
-
04/02/2011 at 9:53 am #130917
TF_NathanWatsonYou’ll want 50 or 52mm Fox for the 14.5 and 16M sections, 48mm Drennan for 13M and think 48 again (more squashed in 1!) for 11M but I never fish that close!

i did tell her about the thread. those bungs have been there for ages.
also, did you know the short 4’s and 4’s from the MAP TKS poles fit the Z9?
As do the TKS tops. ~shh £40 for a short 4. ~shhYes, well I heard the tops do, are they any good? Does every section fit or just the top 4?

04/02/2011 at 10:59 pm #131036
TF_paulDAll the Sensas 7 range (and I think 6) kits fit the z9 perfectly and the 7s no4s also fit. I also saw a bloke using a Maver kit for cupping but don’t know what pole it was from.
Somebody on another forum said that they were using pmks on their diawa SR5.I only paid 50 quid for a z9 power 4th and you can get pmk topkits for about 70 so cant see the point of using other makes.
