Managed to get some frozen bait localy today, unmarked packaging, but good prices.
Mackie, squid, black lug [will have to see what they are like when I unwrap, but a big pack {or lots of paper} paper a bit yellow!
Talking of frozen black lug, I use some on last trip which I’d taken before to three trips in a cool bag, not used so back in freezer.
When I went to use them they were like thin leather boot lacys, and so tough that I had to use bait needle to get on to hook, but after in water for 10 mins they were like fresh lug.

        Also got a pack of 50 ‘Yellow eel’ 4 – 6″ for about £4.
        they look good.

Didn’t someone once mention a Chinese source of frozen crabs?

They sounded promising too but I can’t remember all (OK, any) of the details.

Yes i think they did, but it was daft as they wouldnt give us a link to where you could buy em. It was like “do a google search” etc etc. Some guy in the north east iirc.

I put the bit in about Frozen crabs and I did not include a link because I get them from my local Chinese warehouse/cash & carry .I would suggest you look in the yellow pages to see if you have one local to you.
I would also suggest you check your GSP cos last time I looked London was not in the North East

It can’t have been you then Zonkers. This guy definately said he ordered them online, and we could find them by typing in something in google and we would find them on the second search page or something like that. I also remember him talking about it outfishing normal crab when fishing for cod from the kelp, the whole reason he tried them was because normal crab was not readily available as he was from up north.

order them online through a website you know is good and i find that that is the best way to get the big lug and to dig them up in a quite fishing location and there the best spots.
