      its a berry jerry

Has anyone got any ideas if there are any out and out power poles that fit the GIS power kits, or even the GIS 4’s?

After something new or second hand, any brand, decent quality not a tank aerial for a bit of hauling and summer abuse.

Been on the look out for a cinetex or invictus power on ebay but they’re like poo from a rocker.

        Any help appreciated.

The Preston pulla margin fits the standard GIS top kits.

If you are wanting something a bit longer, Preston used to do super strong ‘striker sections’. These were discontinued but there is currently as set on ebay if you are interested – they shouldn’t go for more than £100. This will give you a strong number 5,6 and 7.
Preston also did a super power top 3. Bizarely the super power top 3 fits directly onto the number 5 striker section. The number 7 striker section then fits on to the rest of your bigger pole sections.

The striker sections also give you some ‘back-up’ sections for you normal pole.

I would advise this is your best option if you have a GIS pole.

The GIS No 4’s fit lots of the diawa range, however the actual top kits don’t so you need to use em on the diawa from No 4 upwards.

If you’re after a power pole – I suggest buying an old diawa 412 and stick your GIS top 4’s on – they fit like a glove and make the diawa miles better.

A pal of mine was gonna upgrade from his G8 for fishing long – I gave him a short 4 and match kit off my GIS to try and he changed his mind – he just went and bought some GIS top 4’s – (NB: the short GIS 4 is a lot longer than a diawa short 4).

              Hope this helps
