have you washed it?, cos it isnt the same once you have, detergent or not. When its made its sprayed with summit or other that also rubs off around the legs and forearms

I used to use Fabsil but stopped as it’s not designed for Gore-Tex and stops it been breathable. I was also told you need to was regularly as mud, slime etc stops it been waterproof! Never had a problem with the jackets but I have with the bib and braces around the bum and groin area! The newer 1s with more reinforcement there are better and if you send stuff less than 5 years old back it will be repaired or replaced free of charge.

Use nikwax tech wash to wash, the nikwax reproofer if they need reproofing.

It’s the stuff gore-tex recommends, works brilliantly if you follow the instructions properly, and have been using it on fishing and snowboard/ski gear for 6 years now and it’s worked every time.

Same here – been using the nikwax products for the last 4 years and they work really well.

Another thumbs up for nikwax. Affordable, efficient and easy to use. Different products also allow you to treat fleeces, bags, brollies etc.

Forget the Tech wash, it’s just liquid soap, just use soap flakes instead…. TX 10 is the D’s B’s though….
