        i,ve heard that by tilting the first ring of you rod slightly towards the reel can gain you a bit extra distance with your casting, is this true in which case do you angle the top or the bottom of the ring towards the reel?

          Sounds like someones assumption tintin rod makers will have spent years and thousands of pounds calculating the best position to site rod rings.
