TF_CarpicusParticipantHas anyone ever encountered the wrath of Noelie?
Heard the latest story first hand last night:
Chap dressed in trousers, collar & tie & “work fleece” style coat popped out of work, down to Hayfield Lakes yesterday lunchtime to see his 15 year old son for ten minutes who was fishing.
On arrival was told by Noelie that he couldn’t go & see him and she didn’t want people like him there! So he explained he just wanted to go & see how he was doing & that he was OK! No she began swearing, “F”ing & blinding at him & threatened to call the Police if he did not leave & then physically assaulted him. He was quite happy to call the Police at this point, but was persuaded to leave by another chap.
It’s not the first story I’ve heard like this of swearing & assault by Noelie.
In her defence, apparently she is very hard working, but is this the way to treat people?
Has anyone else encountered her wrath?

TF_CarpicusParticipantIt’s OK to be nice on TV for Fishomania, but aren’t we supposed to encourage the sport!
This chaps son wasn’t in a match, she wouldn’t even let him call him to see if he was OK! -

TF_poleanglerDon’t believe this for one minute, some one is twisting what really went off.
-

TF_CarpicusParticipantNot twisted, this guy is dead straight & nice guy.
Heard similar story last week of a bloke walking his dog (on a lead) down the public footpath that goes between the lakes. Her dogs were off the lead & took offence at his etc… She was swearing at him, eventually took a swing at him so he decked her! Heard this story told identical by a witness then by the bloke himself. Both gave the same slant on what went off, and who was at fault!

wilfymy parents take my kids for walks across hayfield using the public path. A number of times she has aproached my parents stating it is private land and been quite clear and intiminating even though they were on the public path. Pole angler there are lots of stories like this and yes some may be twisted but not all.

TF_AlibongoParticipanti have been fishing hayfield a lot lately and i have seen noelie expressing her feelings about walkers, but she does state that you arent allowed to walk around the lakes if not fishing. As an angler i appreciate this coz there is nothing worse than bank disturbance when you have started catching!
i find it hard to believe that she would just attack someone for no reason.

TF_CarpicusParticipantI just find it upsetting / disturbing that people can’t act in a friendly, polite and responsible manner! We all know about skylining, but this seems to be getting out of hand!
Hopefully our comments may go some way to making people consider their actions! Anglers and their friends & families in the vast majority of cases are there to enjoy the sport and support their local fisheries & owners!
Thanks for your comments chaps! -

james16there’s no need for behaviour like that, it’s bad reports like this that turn people away from the venue

TF_MatchcarpThis is a wind up thread isn’t it……….I can’t believe what I am reading………
I fish Hayfield myself fairly often and I wont say I know Noelie well but I have always found her good crack ……… Yeah she works very hard for the venue, as well as any bloke and I know she can be a bit fiery (in fact she was having a go at someone during last Sundays match) but I’m not sure she is as bad is this…….. -

terryblazeI have seen her having a go at a pensioner walking his dog through there. I went over to try and calm her down only to be told “if you want to continue fishing f**k off bag to your peg or f off, this is f all to do with you. Needless to say i wrapped up and don’t intend going back.

TF_Team RattlerHeard it from a very good source that when they were sandbagging and pumping the other week that she was in the pub on her mobile wit feet up. First sight of a camera she dragged a lad off the tractor and ordered him to take a break, then proceeded to give an interview.

terryblazeNow that’s jogged my memory i heard she once threw some blokes tackle in the lake because he had forgot his wallet, best of it was the bloke was about 6 feet 4 and 20 stone. He tried to protest but she chased him to his car, luckily he locked himself in but she kicked the panels in and he had to drive off at speed.Rumour has it she was clinging on the bonnet for 3 miles

TF_spotter1707meatbasher.
I think you will find that GV had a visit from HSE who insisted that poles being shipped in & out constitute a trip hazzard!!
Consequently insurance premiums etc.& in this “blame culture” the rest writes itself.
Regards Hayfield, is this a case of PMT ???????? -

terryblazeOne other thing i heard was during a club match some bloke had taken his dog,she told him to put it in his car or leave the premises. When he did neither she smacked the guy. Well apparently the guy’s dog bit her so she did no more but got on all 4’s,took the lurcher in her mouth and proceeded into the lake where she held it under the water till it moved no more.

TF_CarpicusParticipantThere are loads more stories that could be told, but I think the point has been made!! It sounds like they’re not isolated incidents! On a positive note I hear that she has ‘barrowed’ – mother to be – Emma Pickerings tackle to her peg & back for the last few weeks. She’s does seem to be Very Hard Working and no doubt has the fishery interests at heart, but lets hope this thread goes some way to making not just Noelie, but everyone become more considerate & polite. Rules are rules & if you should break them at your peril. I don’t think it matter what the rules are, we should all stick them as they are the same for everyone! We all want to support out fisheries, and have a great time thats beneficial to angler & owners alike!
