        Mine could have been worse scored 3 points on the Ben Lee winter league by snaring a rogue skimmer 1lb 4oz ! the lake i was on was won with 11lb so it fished hard, well done to Lee Simpson who won with 35lb and well done to section winners Ian Lane, Lee Simpson & Pete Bassett

          No match, but a nice day on the Thames. Fished 2 pegs, four chub from each. First 4 went about 10lb, caught straight away on bread feeder. No more bites after an hour or so, so had a go a few pegs away. Had 5 bites over the space of the next 2 hours, resulting in two reasonable chub (5lb 14oz, 5lb 8oz), plus one of about 5 (didn’t weigh it, but not much smaller than the other 2) and a baby, about 3lb 8oz. The one bite I missed nearly pulled the rod in, but never felt a thing! Hopefully there will be a good finish to the river season, just don’t want any more rain.

            I Fished a small open on the K&A canal at pewsey I had 142 fish on the punch and bloodworm for a stunning 3lb 6oz. But the canal fished rock hard and my weight was worth 2nd on the day

              Got beat in the vde by a point. Nothing worked on the day. Thought I had the venue sussed. Just goes to show fishing can bite you on the arse.

                  Had a good day yesterday, 3rd in a silvers only match at Weybread Pits near Harleston, Suffolk with 7lb 3oz of skimmers. I also had 3 crucian carp which don’t count in these matches and a 2 proper carp which again do not count.

                  Fished an open at Suffolk Water Park today for carp and couldn’t catch one! I had one skimmer and dropped another off half way in on the method feeder so didn’t bother to weigh about 8oz!
