Oy! Don’t be spending your club subs on more top kits Chris. You can only fish with one at a time.

Personally I would pay good money to ensure Milo Columbo did not strip!!

They are a good kit. Stonger than a Daiwa match kit and so you will notice a difference if fishing long ie 14.5m plus. But better than a CTK5 or those mickey mouse multi bores.

Which daiwa match kits would u need to get so they would match my g20s which have a green triangle

They felt heavy to me. Someone told me that it work better if you use the No3 from the stripper kit and a generic diawa No.2. If I still had a Diawa pole I would buy the generic TMK top 3 and have it drilled; I reckon this would be better for the Preston poles as well, no point spoiling a good pole with a top kit that will unbalance it.

                      T3MK are generic kits.
Have a look on Daiwas website.

The generics are ok, normal top 3, but bend more than the proper 1s. Heard the stripper kits are heavy and make pole floppy and the daft hole in em is enough to put me off!

T3mk are generic . So which would I need to buy to match the same as the 1s tht came with the g20

There is only 1 size mate!

The TMK (or whatever!) Daiwa generic fit all the current long section models – the Diawa catalogue explains. RRP is over £50 but if you buy a pack of 5 most shops will let u have em for around £45 each.

I suspect Nathan is correct re bending as they must be a lower grade carbon to sell at less than half the cost of a proper top 3. It is v difficult to tell the pucka ones from the generics when not playing a fish though!

                              final advise – get a colmic x5000 – quality!

When i mentioned size I suppose I should have said quality I.e the kits what come with a airity should be better thn the g20? And I want to know what grade of kit. Comes with g20 I don’t want to sacrifice the poles performance for the sake of a couple of quid …. Or do u guys think just go with thm mtk3s???

I’d stick mainly with the 1s that come with the pole, as I said, generics are ok, especially for silvers, but do bend more with carp.

the stripper kits from milo are the same as the big bore tops you get with airity other than the hole in the side, the main reason that these sections fit the daiwa g8 g20 pro and the airity is that the milo superba pole which steve gardner used it holland 2009 was made on the same mandrel as the daiwa poles as i was told steve was’nt happy with the one or the wrap for roach fishing so had reglass make the pole with a daiwa mandrel after he had used a pro in pratice.~think ~think
