On peg A5, John Adamson found the opposite catching the bulk of his fish when the sun shone, all his fish falling to pellet (Porky) method feeder fished to the island with meat bait. His 103-04 put him just in front of the in-form Simon Skelton, whose 101-02 of big carp were taken mostly by “mugging” them (spotting cruising fish and dropping a pellet close to them on pole to induce a take).
Alan Marshall’s 77-00 from peg B1 were mainly method feeder fish with a few on long pole and pellet.
