Report:
Even though the cold wind veered from SE to NE the rain remained relentless, blowing into pegs 17-25 throughout the day, while pegs 5-13 were able to shelter under their umbrellas.
Shaun Greenfield on peg 5 had no signs in the first 3½ hours, but caught three carp on bomb and bread to win the match with 20-04. On peg 7, Forrest caught two carp on his favourite orange wafters on bomb to take second place and the default bank win.
On the opposite bank on peg 21, John Adamson caught an early carp on bomb and bread then added a bream on method feeder in the latter stages for third place and the bank win, with Stuart Gould’s 6-11 of roach and skimmers taken from the margins on worm and maggot in fourth place from peg 19.
Wayne Greenfield’s single carp from peg 9 filled fifth position.
NB. ‘NISA Feeders’ Opens are at Makins Phase 1 every Wednesday. You must book in before 10pm the previous evening (Facebook – Nisa midweek open matches), draw in Lake 2 or Lake 4 car park (depending on lake being fished) 8:15am-8.30am, fishing 10:00am-3:00pm.
