Report:
Staring with a nice S wind and ending in heavy rain, Lake Four fished well all round the lake with most catching although only six bothered the scales (most beating a hasty retreat to get out of the rain).
Rob Mallabone (peg 5) had two early fish on bomb and corn before switching to a hybrid feeder and casting to the island for a run of carp in the final 90 minutes to seal victory with 46-08.
On peg 9, Graham Beckwith fished “T-bag” and alternated bread and corn baits to catch steadily throughout the match for 42-08 of carp for second, whilst on peg 7, Sean Greenfield caught the bulk of his 27-00 of carp in the final hour by casting bomb and corn short over pellet loose feed to take third spot, edging his brother Wayne (peg 2) who had 25-00 on bomb and corn cast to the island to fourth.
Fifth placed Tony Pears (peg 11) had two carp on bomb and corn and around 14-00 of good roach taken on pole/worm.
