Although there were fish caught all around the lake, the high numbers dominated, with John Adamson (peg A13) taking top place with 109-02 of carp taken on method feeder fished tight to the island. After taking around 50-00 in the first two hours, sport slowed until a final hour produced around 45-00.
On peg A15, Alan Marshall caught a couple of early feeder fish but a switch to pole at 13m transformed his match and with soft pellet bait over 3ml pellet feed he caught carp to the end to put 83-04 on the scaless for second place.
Birthday boy Gary Cook took a while to figure out peg A20 before finding fish on pole fished corn in open water to put 60-06 on the scales for third place, the consistent Terry Sanderson (peg B17) taking fourth money with 54-12 on bomb and pellet. Fifth placed Tony Lamb (peg B14) included a carp of 16-04 in his 46-12, all taken on bomb and pellet.
