      Report:
      At the draw Terry Sanderson was unhappy with his peg (2) only to arrive on the bank to find it was the only place on the lake with carp topping! Fishing his favourite bomb and pellet, he extracted 9 carp for 69-10 and a clear win.

      John Adamson (peg 8) caught 8 carp, a barbel and a bream on pellet method feeder for 47-00 and second place, with Tony Lamb (peg 22) snatching third place in the final 30 minutes when he added 3 carp to his bream, all on bomb and pellet, for 22-08, relegating Shane Desmond’s 18-06 (a carp and 10-00 of roach) to fourth place.

      NB. ‘Nisa Feeders’ Opens are at Makins on Phase 1 every Wednesday, 9.00 am draw in Café (on Phase 1 Car Park).

      Report:
      Danny Ross made good use of peg 23 towards the end of the lake by adding three big carp taken on corn and a small feeder fished to the lake end to his nine carp taken on long pole and corn fished to the island for 70-00 and a clear win.

      Simon Skelton continued his great run with 48-00 of carp (three on bread and the rest on corn) fishing pole at 19m to the island on peg 11 to take second place, with Ricky Welbourn taking third place with 43-12 from peg 2 with 43-12. Ricky’s first fish, a carp of 18-08, was hooked with 30 seconds of the start and landed several minutes later. It took meat tipped with a maggot from the margin. His other fish were caught in open water, 2 on bomb and corn and the rest on pole/pellet.

      NB. ‘NISA FEEDERS’ Opens are at Makins every Thursday on Phases 2 or 3. (£15 “all in” at the draw). Draw 9.00 am in Café, Phase 1 Car Park.
