Olivette or not ?

Using 0.75 – 1 gram rigs whats your preferences do you add an olivette then a few droppers or do you use a bulk of stotz or shot then add droppers ? Ive got Porth resevoir in mind thanks for your responses Anthony Waters

diffrent ways for diffrent days i think olivettes tend to get it down quicker than a bulk of stotz so if your bites are coming quick an they’re on the deck thats the way to go,i generally don’t use an olivette on anything below a 1gram float.

Most pegs on Porth you want a gram, maybe 1.5 on windy days with olivette and 3 droppers and a 4 x 16 strung out rig set up for the long pole. Then another, probably 4 x 16 or 4 x 18 for the short pole and maybe even a shallow rig or 2! Waggler, slider, feeder!

I tend to use a bulk upto 0.8 and olivette from a Gramm up

for porth you will need rigs up to 3g, all with number 9 droppers, don’t be afraid to fish heavy floats there, even double bulking!!!
