o/t computer nerd needs help……

every time i log onto this forum after clearing my mail, i get a message telling me that i have 10 unopened messages in my mail box when i actually have one.
this message repeats every time i hit the keyboard whilst on the forum.
it does not happen on other sites such as my bank, e-bay etc. can anyone help me stay sane…..please?

You need to report this as a website mail fault to Gareth, just pm him.

If you read mail messages and the system still thinks you have them, the mail system is at fault. It maybe because of a number of reasons, but none of them will be your or your computers fault.

I had a similar problem on another forum,you can delete/clear the message’s,but unless you open them,you will keep getting the “Unread Message” error,HTH’s

you will also find that a refresh will ‘reset’ your browser cache.

I’m sure someone like DW will have the definitive answer and yes it’s a pain and will happen even if you have read them and deleted them, not every time but enough to confuse the matter.
