…a load of cobblers or A cobbler would be extremely helpful for advice on how to re-surface or worst case ‘patch’ a laura ashley leather sofa where the nappa surface has come off (cat- me).leaving two small circles with the surface ‘skin’layer removed?
        any help much appreciated.

IT will be an upholsterer that you need.

Should be able to replace a panel if that is all that is needed.

If you were in the Midlands there is one that I would wholeheartedly recommend in Kenilworth.

                cheers guys,
saw a friendly cobbler yesterday late p.m.- who informed me that once the nappa surface has been scratched – there is no real repair except replacing a panel. So consequently am going to touch up the ‘holes’ using a little painted oil paint to match surround and then polish.

Slightly different……..but i watch the car shows on sky ‘wheeler dealers’ and they occasionally have cars with leather seats that look really tatty – they take em to a professional leather painter and they come back as new
