  50 million to liverpool ~think at least 30 million to torres if not more = 80 million not good buisness. stupid money spent by a desperate ruskie. didnt no one tell him torres spends more time in the treatment room than on the pitch. andy carrol 35 million ~sick jesus how stupid can anyone get. if they,d paid 14 million for adam then liverpool would have made a push for top 4 ~think dont think carrol will do that. scousers can expect plenty of high balls into the box for a while. two clubs paying the price for non investment in youth. taggert and his mate wegner must be laughing this morning. spent zero and occupy top two places in the prem~clap ~clap ~clap mainly because they have the balls to bring youth through whilst other inferior clubs spend money on ready made packages that dont seem to last the distance. stupid and shortsighted.

  herbie, I think you need to take off your rose-tinted spectacles and add up the cost of the Man Utd first team! Three c.Â£30m players (Ferdinand, Berbatov, Rooney), several c.Â£15-20m players (Anderson, Nani, Carrick, Valencia) and numerous other multi-million pound signings, including Â£7m on a Portuguese bum that Fergie had never even seen play! Does paying Â£7m for Chris Smalling count as “bringing through youth” these days?!

  thats the difference gary all the players you mentioned are long term investments its called planning for the future. liverpool in the 80s were masters at it till king kenny took over and the rot set in. go back 12 months and ask yourself how much was nani worth or ronaldo in his first two seasons not much. both taggert and wegner has stepped off the merrygoround of stupid prices for average players. carroll has less goals than our super sub chico with the same amount of time spent in the premiership. one cost 10m the other 35m. enough said carrol is a panic buy to shut the scousers up after there star jumped ship. the next star to go ~think ~think drogba ~shh

  trouble is herbie the last two times ive watched united play they have had to bring 50 year old giggs on to get them out of a hole so when he retires the bank book will be out again as they havent got any one else that can do his job then they have to replace scholes neville van der sar and berberloss coz there all on bus passes nearly ~shh
