MOLANDS Fishing has been a lot more consistent this week with match weights to 130lb + and good back up nets from all around the pool. In the matches shallow has been best with caster or pellet fished up to 16 m on the pole , pellet waggler and mugging carp have also worked well. Late on in matches the margins are going well with paste ,corn or big pellet accounting for bigger carp and F1s. Pleasure anglers have caught well on surface baits with bread or dog biscuit catching fish to over 20lb.
GEARYS The top end of the pool has been the most consistent with pegs 18-29 producing catches to around 120lb in matches with bomb and pellet the top tactic at the moment but method feeder or down the margins with corn or worm over groundbait also working. Carp anglers have had fish to 23lb this week with boilies fished at range to the middle stumps catching well.
LITTLE GEARYS Caster shallow has worked best with nets to 160lbs coming to this but generally the f1s are responding to most tactics with good nets being caught all around the pool. Carp to nearly 20lb have been reported by pleasure anglers fishing off the top on bread or oily floaters.
GRATUITIES popular this week with anglers looking for shade from the fierce heat that we had at the weekend. The fishing has been a little patchy with the bigger nets coming later in the day with carp coming to paste or pellet down the margins. Waggler or feeder to the island is catching a few on pellet in the day.
WILLOW Fishing very well with lots of carp and f1s being caught and match weights to 170lb +were caught this week. The f1s are coming to caster or pellet fished shallow and the best pegs are those that you can reach the island with the pole. Carp are being caught off the top or down the margins with paste, pellet or boilies
ANNIVERSARIES A lot more consistent this week with nets to over 100lb being caught. F1s providing the main action with fish to 6lb coming to shallow pole and caster/pellet or paste on the bottom. Carp to 15lb coming to surface baits with the top bays on pegs 1-9 the best area for them.
SIBLINGS A Fished well this week with nets to over 180lb in matches and pleasure anglers reporting similar catches. Paste, pellet, corn and meat tight across or down the margins with dead maggots over grounbait has been best.
SIBLINGS B In decent form with lots of F1s being caught from most pegs and nets to 190lb this week. Tight across to the far bank or against the reeds with caster, paste and pellet have been best but later on in sessions there have been plenty of fish to be caught down the margins on the same baits.
