MOLANDS The top tactics in matches on Molands at the moment are shallow pole with pellet or caster on the jigger at 13 – 14.5 metres catching F1s to 6lb or method feeder tight to the island with an expander or dead reds on the hook for carp to 15lb and big F1s. Pleasure anglers have enjoyed sport with floating baits and dog biscuits accounting for fish to 22lb this weekend.
GEARYS Match weights close to 100lb have been best this week and the fishing a little patchy in the changeable conditions. Carp to 20lb have featured in catches with bomb and pellet, method feeder or corn over micros fishing down the margin the best tactics.
LITTLE GEARYS Fished well through the week with match weights in excess of 150lb. F1s and carp making up the catches with shallow pole and caster or pellet the most effective tactic but method to the island and meat, corn or paste down the edges has also put plenty of fish into the nets.
GRATUITIES It has been tough on Gratuities this week with mixed nets to around 40lb best. Carp are being caught on a small pellet feeder fished tight to the island or on waggler with corn or pellet. Silver fish are showing to caster or expander pellet fished down the middle.
SIBLINGS A Decent sport to be had albeit a little patchy. Good nets of carp in the 3 – 6lb range are being caught along with F1s, skimmers and ide. Maggot, pellet and paste have been the top baits.
SIBLINGS B Very good this week with big bags of F1s coming to pole fished pellet, corn or paste. The better catches are coming across from the far side or later in the day down the near margins.
ANNIVERSARIES Good consistent sport this week with catches to 100lb coming to shallow pole with pellet. Paste, corn or meat are all catching plenty of F1s and small carp.
