        REPORT

MOLANDS In terrific form this week with lots of carp and F1s being caught from all around the pool. Carp to 20lb have featured and boilies or pellets fished on the bomb across to the island has been the best tactic although on the right days floating baits can also be affective. In the matches, weights to over 170lb were recorded with excellent back up weights as well. F1s on shallow pole and caster/pellet have accounted for better catches in the matches.

GEARYS Much better this week with nets to over 130lb in matches and equally good catches by pleasure anglers. Bomb and pellet, pole with worm/caster or 8mm pellet have been the best approach in matches with the pleasure anglers enjoying good sport with floating baits as well. Pegs 7 – 13, 16, 17 – 24 and 31 have been the most consistent areas.

LITTLE GEARYS Good steady fishing all week with nets to around 130lb best made up mainly of F1s in the 2 – 3lb range but some decent carp to 15lb have also featured. Shallow tactics have been best with the F1s responding well to caster or pellet on the pole shallow or a small pellet waggler fished to the island is also working well. Later in the day, meat or corn fished over micros down the margins can be very successful.

GRATUITIES Showed a bit of form this week with the far side best where carp to double figures have been caught on floating baits or pellet waggler fished to the island. Fishing maggot or expander pellet down the middle gives you lots of bites from silvers, crucians and small carp.

SIBLINGS A Still a little patchy but nets to nearly 100lb have featured in matches with carp, F1s, ide and skimmers showing well to paste, pellet or caster. The carp are coming to paste fished tight across with shallow tactics working well down the middle or close in.

SIBLINGS B Lots of F1s are being caught in the 1 – 3lb range in nets to over 100lb. Small method/pellet feeder fished tight to the far bank is working well or long pole with pellet/corn or paste.

ANNIVERSARIES Decent sport to be had with F1s and ide being caught on maggot, caster or pellet on a long pole shallow. The bigger carp are coming from the top bays with fish to double figures being caught off the top or across to the far bank on a method feeder with wafter.

WILLOW Superb at the moment with lots of carp in the 3 – 6lb range and the odd double coming to paste or corn fished close in down the margins. F1s to 4lb are coming to shallow pole and pellet on the jigger.
