        FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS Still in good form for both match and pleasure anglers with match weights to over 100lb and carp caught to 22lb,f1s to 10lb and tench to 5lb. In the matches method feeder fished tight to the island has been the top tactic with meat, small expander or wafter on the hook. Edge tactics are working well later in the day with big carp and F1s coming from the margins and corn, pellet or worm have been the better baits. A few have caught shallow on pellet or caster long on the pole. Carp anglers are catching well with wafters, pop-ups or boilies fished tight to the near margin or across to the island

GEARYS Fished well early in the week with weights to over 180lb caught but was notably slower at the week end when the high pressure set in. The carp have been high in the water and shallow tactics such as mugging, slapping or pellet waggler have accounted for the better catches. Method feeder to the middle stumps and bomb with pellet have also been working well. Carp to over 20lbs were caught in matches and by the carp anglers who had good results on surface baits such as floating boilies or dog biscuit

LITTLE GEARYS Still fishing very well with nets to 200lb this week and good back up nets many of which over the ton. Caster shallow has been the best approach with pegs 7-15 and 23-29 the best area. Method feeder with meat and pole with caster/meat or corn down the edges also worked well this week.

GRATUITIES Carp to double figures were caught with surface or shallow tactics by pleasure anglers. In the matches mixed nets were needed to frame with carp, F1s and skimmers making up the nets to 50lb. Waggler with pellet, pole fished meat or expander pellet and feeder with meat to the island were the top tactics.

ANNIVERSARIES Steady sport through the week with nets to 50lb from plenty of pegs. Caster, maggot or hard pellet on the pole and bomb/ waggler with 6mm pellet has been the best approach.

SIBLINGS A Fished well this week with most pegs producing decent catches and shallow tactics such as pellet or caster on the jigger have started to work . Pole fished corn or pellet fished across to the island or down the margins and feeding micros on ground bait have still been working well.

SIBLINGS B Fished much better this week with nets to 117lb made up by f1s mainly but some carp into double figures also featured. Pegs 5-14 have been the most consistent where pole and paste ,caster or pellet fished across to the far side or close in at top 2+2. On the wider pegs a small feeder or waggler tight to the reeds has also been worth a go.

WILLOW Always popular willow has been fishing well this week to a variety of methods. Long pole with pellet or caster shallow, feeder or waggler to the island and down the margins with corn ,pellet or meat have all been catching carp to double figures and f1s to 6lb.
