MOLANDS Match weights to over 130lb caught this week but the fishing still remains a little patchy. The F1s have fed better and fish to 6lb have been caught with pole fished caster shallow or meat down the edges the best tactics. Carp to 15lb have been caught on pellet waggler or method feeder fished tight to the island best for them. Top pegs have been 2, 6, 13, 19, 27, 33, 39,
44 – 46 and 56 – 60.GEARYS The bigger carp have been showing well with plenty of doubles up to 18lb being caught with bomb and pellet/boilies or meat/corn fished down the margins. Match weights to 80lb have been best but pleasure anglers have enjoyed more successful fishing into the evenings. There have been some cracking nets of silvers with skimmers from 1 – 2lb coming out well to caster or on the pole. Top pegs have been 9 – 13, 19 – 21, 27 – 31 and 36.
LITTLE GEARYS Not been in the best form recently with match weights to around 60lb best this week. The F1s are coming to worm and caster fished shallow at 13 metres or down the margins. Method or pellet feeder fished to the island is also catching a few fish.
GRATUITIES Some good carp are being taken off the top with bread and dog biscuit with fish to double figures falling to this. Plenty of crucians, small carp, tench, bream and the odd barbel being caught by pole anglers fishing down the middle with expander pellet, caster or maggot.
WILLOW Shallow all the way with long pole and pellet or pellet waggler catching lots of carp from 3 – 6lb and F1s to 4lb. The bigger carp are showing best down the margins later in the day with fish to 15lb being caught this week.
SIBLINGS A (Doughnut) The silvers have provided the main action on Siblings ‘A’ with skimmers, ide, roach and tench coming to the waggler. Pellet fished down the edges is best for carp and F1s.
SIBLINGS B (Horseshoe) Fished well this week with lots of F1s from 8oz – 2lb being caught on the pole fished pellet either out to the far side or down the margins.
ANNIVERSARIES Still a few of the bigger 3 – 4lb bream coming out but they have slowed down from the week before. Lots of F1s and ide are coming to caster, maggot or soft pellet fished out into the open water on most pegs.
