        REPORT

MOLANDS Molands has been more consistent this week with fish showing all around the pool and weights in matches to around 70lb with decent back up catches as well. Carp to over 20lb have been caught by pleasure anglers with the best reported a common going 21lb 5oz which was caught off the top on peg 60. Best tactics in matches have been to fish maggot or caster at 10 – 15 metres shallow or on the deck both working. The maggot feeder is also starting to work well as well. Top pegs have been 2 – 6, 10, 15, 21 – 29, 41 – 46 and 52 – 60.

GEARYS Match weights to around 90lb best this week but there have been signs of an improvement with carp being caught on most pegs rather than just a few. Fish to mainly 20lb have been caught in matches with bomb and pellet, shallow pole with pellet (slapping) and a method feeder to the middle stumps all catching a few fish. Some decent nets of skimmers coming to pole with caster and maggot getting bites.

LITTLE GEARYS Fished well through the week but a little slow at the weekend. Match weights to nearly 100lb featured in catches with good back up catches too. Mainly F1s in the
2 – 4lb range but there were some decent carp being caught with fish to 15lb. As with the other pools maggot and caster are starting to dominate with long pole shallow or on the deck. Maggot feeder and down the margins all accounting for plenty of fish.

GRATUITIES Still very clear and making sport difficult. Carp to double figures have been caught with bomb and pellet, waggler and bread or pellet feeder to the island accounting for them. Pole fished maggot, caster or pellet are giving plenty of bites with crucians, skimmers, roach and the odd carp being caught down the track.

WILLOW Lots of F1s are being caught on pole with pellet, corn, paste or maggot feeder fished on the pole at 10 – 13 metres or across to the island on some pegs. Pellet feeder or waggler to the island is catching well for carp and F1s but it needs to be tight across to the island.

SIBLINGS A (Doughnut) A slower week on Siblings A with F1s and ide providing the best action on there with shallow pole and caster or pellet best at the moment. Corn is accounting for a few bigger carp fishing tight over to the island.

SIBLINGS B (Horseshoe) Lots of F1s but catches are down on previous weeks with nets of around 50lb best. Paste, pellet or maggot fished across to the far bank or down the track has been the top tactic.
