        REPORT

MOLANDS Some severe frosts dented sport a little but generally Molands is still in good form. A lot of anglers, particularly in the Sensas Challenge match at the weekend, found skimmers, tench and roach obliging on the pole with chopped worm and caster or maggot over balls of ground bait. Pellet feeder or method feeder is the best attack for carp fished across to the island with pellet, meat, corn and dead red maggot all catching with the best carp pegs around Scarecrow Point, 44 – 48 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS The high bank has been the most consistent area producing nets of bream and skimmers on the worm and caster or pellet. The fish are coming closer in particularly in the afternoons and some decent nets were caught, fishing short at 4 – 5 metres. Best carp pegs have been 15, 17 – 20, 29- 32 and 36, with the method feeder or straight lead and pellet accounting for fish into double figures.

LITTLE GEARYS Much improved this week with the F1’s starting to have a real go. Shallow up in the water with caster or pellet has accounted for the better catches but fish are also coming in short as well, fishing just down the near shelf. There have been nets to 40lb+ taken in matches and pleasure anglers exceeding that. Best pegs are from 12 to 25.

GRATUITIES Still a little peggy with the end pegs providing the best sport. Carp to 6lb and tench to 5lb featured in catches with pole fished pellet or caster and pellet feeder the top tactics.

WILLOW Anglers fishing Willow have had lots of bites with small skimmers and roach providing most of the action but F1’s, carp to 2lb and
