MOLANDS Molands is still in good form with a variety of methods catching fish at the moment. For the feeder anglers, carp and F1’s are coming to method or pellet feeder fished right across to the island with meat the top hook bait. On the pole, mixed nets of F1’s, tench, skimmers, crucians and a few carp are being caught on either chopped worm and caster or pellet. The paste is also starting to work down the near margin catching some quality tench to 5lb. Best pegs are 8 -12, 15 – 19, 28- 31 and 43 – 48.
GEARYS Fishing best later in the day when the carp come round the margins and fish to 17lb have been caught this week on paste or meat fished down the edge. The matches have been won with mixed nets of carp and skimmers and the method fished into the open water has been the most affective tactic. The best pegs have been 10 – 13, 19, 23 and 31 – 34.
LITTLE GEARYS F1’s and skimmers are providing the bulk of the catches, with matches this week won with up to 50lb. Most anglers are getting plenty of bites all around the pool and pellet fished over micros is working well at 11 – 13 metres and also close in down the margin. A small method with dead reds or meat is also worth a try tight up to the island.
GRATUITIES The end pegs remain the best pegs with carp to 8lb, tench to 6lb, crucians and skimmers showing. The pole fished either down the margin or out to ten metres has been the best tactic with caster or pellet on the hook.
WILLOW Pegs 5 – 7 once again the best pegs with lots of carp in the 1 – 8lb bracket, F1’s and a few tench to 5lb taking from this area. Corn or pellet fished up to the reeds has been the best tactic.
ANNIVERSARIES Fished really well this week with pole and pellet accounting for some really good mixed bags of carp, tench and skimmers. Pegs 6 – 14 have been a hotspot fished out
