Pike waters in North West

Apologies if this is in the wrong discussion. I fancy a change from matches for a bit, anyone know of any decent pike waters, lake or river preferred, around the North West, within an hour of Runcorn/Warrington would be good and day ticket if possible.

rudyard lake solid with pike

after a prolonged cold snap the roach will move out of pennington flash(liegh) into the start of the river Glaze bringing the pike with them for the easy pickings. the lake itself is big with good stocks of roach and bream so would imagine the pike will get to some size.
