~shh ~shh ~shh You would have been proud of me Herb.I realised with 40 mins to go that i needed a rogue Carp to get moi out the shite to have any chance of framing.Put my deadly pop-up on the hair and chucked the feeder out.I started to clean my pole down and tidy up my gear for a quick get away for the boozer. But you know me….i`m like a coiled spring when it comes to hitting bites, but unfortunately a pal phoned and as i was telling him how i was getting on,the rod shot of the rest and headed to oblivion.Like a flash i was onto it and the rod curved into a good fish.I let the lads know as i do that the first prize was mine…and they groaned in disbelief…..Then disaster struck…the fish went on its run down the bar in the middle of the lake in its quest for freedom, and as hard as i tried to turn the bugger it hit the clip on the reel and was gone.I blame myself for taking notice of John Radford opposite when he made me clip up to halfway before the start.I should have done what i normaly do and rely on my accurate casting(can hit a tanner at 100 yards),and the fish would have been safely in the net,and the money in my pocket……Next time…..MASSIVE LOL.~sick ~sick ~sick ~sick ~sick

Method ManI must say that Micks exploits on the bank at Johns Sunday made my return worth while.
The fishing was well below par but to see Mick trying to grab his rod in time and then lose the carp was amazing !Carry on Mick !
Looking forward to Sunday already !

TF_MICK THE BOOKIEHere we go again….Taking the pee-wee out of Michael.
Yes it is a bit large for me,,agreed…..But my pal who has 2…yes 2 Yaughts….1 in Corsica…tother in Spain, gave it to me when i complained about the shite so called wet-proof gear i purchased from a well known Angling manufacture. This coat is top quality and i swear its the best you can buy.I put it over my crap stuff when its cold or raining or both, and believe me its the bollox.
Why Angling suppliers dont sell them i dont know?,but if they did they would clean up.The only trouble is my mates a big Chelsea fan,and the coat is “Blue is the colour”.If they did it in Arsenals Colours i would have 3 of them…lol.Anyway you can all FRO now and leave me alone…I have to make up some deadly new rigs for Sunday…LOVE YOU.xxxx~naughty ~naughty ~naughty ~clap ~clap ~clap

TF_MICK THE BOOKIEMarcus……Top tip mate(hush hush).Ball in 30 Grapefruit size balls of that new groundbait that begins with M(the cheap stuff @£10 a bag),and fish single bloodworm on a size 12 hook over it.Repeat after every bite.It is a bit exspensive mind, but you will catch. Please keep it to yourself though mate cause i dont want Pikey to know.~shh ~shh ~shh ~shh ~shh
-
21/01/2011 at 11:17 am #129177
TF_PikeyAnother Top Tip:
Fish a feeder with a popped up bait, stand a long way away from your rod and then run and grab it when a carp picks up the bait and tries to pull your rod in.
Don’t stand to far away if you are clipped up as the fish will snap you when it hits the clip.
See you sunday
-
21/01/2011 at 1:02 pm #129181
Method ManAnd if you need any advice on the above method MTB will gladly give you a demonstration Sunday, about 4 mins before the end of the match !
Love you Mick

TF_MICK THE BOOKIEDavid and Tony…I know you share most things(enough said about that the better),but i find it more than a little annoying that you constantly take the pee-wee out of yours truly…..All i can say in my defence is….”He who laughs last laughs loudest”…..See you both on Sunday boys, and we will have a nugget on the outcome of said match.
Tony……Please make sure Dave isnt wearing his new slippers when you pick him up…Carol went potty last week when he got home..He got them from Father Xmas……lol….LOVE YOU BOTH.xxxxx ~shh ~shh ~shh ~shh ~clap ~clap ~clap -
