        Use this on all my float tips but Plasticote seem to have discontinued the jars of orange glow (B27) and fluorescent Yellow.

        Anyone know any hardware shops or model shops that still have stocks available?

          hi steve

          i was looking a year or two back now for the orange glow paint but couldnt find it anywhere.

          nearest thing i could find was orange float enamel paint on ebay

                  Believe they stopped doing it in 2005/6…

                  A few other options are;

                  Diddys suggestion of the Testors is spot on – best orange I’ve found – you want the Pactra racing finish in fluor orange or yellow – watch out – its a solvent based one and you’ll be on the ceiling if you breathe a lot in.

                  One little trick I found recently is for reversible tip colors. Plastidip do fluorescent orange and yellow and normal black –and you can thin it 20% with their Shinecoat – F799(??). For plastic bristles you can coat them in about 20 minutes by dipping the tip and leaving upside down. Then, since its a rubber coating you can just peel the coating back off to go back to your original tip. Not tried it on laquered cane tips etc, but for plastics, it works a treat.
