The first part of the week was a little slow due to the miserable weather but from mid week onwards, the fishing has been great at Ringstead Grange.

Anglers have been on form with some catching up to 18 a piece, the lake is in good condition without the weed and is well stocked with lovely condition fish.

Paul Chester (Kettering) caught 5 fish limit, plus 4 all around 3 lbs a piece
Father and son The Robinsons (Raunds) caught 7 fish and 5 plus returning several back into the lake
Nigel Cheetham (Oundle) had a fantastic day catching 16 on a day ticket. All fish caught were around 3 lbs a piece and were carefully returned to the lake.
Mick Roche (Addington) returning his limit of 5 back into the lake
Adrian Kinchin (Market Harborough) had another good limit of 5, all weighing 3 pounds each and boat partner Matt Derby (Market Harborough) caught a full limit of 5, all weighing in at 3 pounds each
The Chisholme Brothers (Ipswich) had an evening ticket catching 3 a piece around 3 lbs each
Chris Gill (Towcester) caught his first ever trout at 3lbs, which was a beauty.
Colin Meeks (Milton Keynes) caught 7 trout, mostly 3 pounders
Liam Johnson (Higham Ferrers) caught a 5lb brownie in super condition

A few annoucementst to be made this week regarding the winter season.
Trout fishing will be open all year round from bank and boat with a slight price change to £16 day ticket for 3 fish limit and £10 a day for catch and release owing to the days being shorter. Boat prices will remain the same. This effect will take place when the clocks change.
Pike fishing is to commence on the 28th October 17, this will be fishing from boats only. Exceptions will be made for the elderly or disabled. Charges are £10 per day and £10 per boat. 6inch lures or dead bait only. No spinners allowed.

Ringstead is excited with the news that a number of private carp sessions are being held as there is a few wild specimens in the lake. These sessions will take place up on the deep bank only, as we do not want to interfere with other anglers. These sessions will be limited to 4 anglers on the bank which will be controlled bait conditions put in place by Pete. A few places are still available, please speak to Pete at the lodge.
This is a wonderful time for anglers of different disciplines to get together over a nice hot cup of tea and coffee to share stories and catches.
Please watch out for broadcast next week with Pete and Glen who will answer questions for you.
