Due to all this horrendous weather I’m going to have a bash on the river. Ive heard for a few years now that the south accommodation road/ royal armories stretches are meant to contain large no.s of roach and skimmers during the winter. Has anyone fished it recently and/or have any tips?

Parts of the Aire I’ve previously fished averaged around 10ft deep, is this similar to the city center stretches?

        Any info welcome

used to be brilliant in winter but the cormorants have cleared it out.ther are still some fish but they are tightly shoaled up so it can be feast or famine.
